Children & Wife
Andy Cooper is married to Noreen Cooper, who works as a carer looking after people with illnesses or disabilities. Together, they raised three sons in a working-class community in Warrington.
Their two older boys, Connor Cooper and Ollie Cooper, both grew up to become electricians. Their youngest son, Owen Cooper, was born on December 5, 2009. Owen was a football-mad kid who played a lot of soccer and initially dreamed of becoming a professional player.
But one day he surprised his parents by asking to join acting classes after watching Tom Holland in The Impossible, which Andy and his wife, Noreen, agreed to and enrolled Owen at The Drama Mob in Manchester. Andy and Noreen backed him fully even though it was an unexpected change.
The family’s support stayed strong during Owen’s breakthrough in the Netflix series Adolescence. When Noreen was recovering from surgery, Andy made sure he was on set with Owen as much as possible. He would sit quietly in the back with headphones on, always ready to be there for his son.
In September 2025, Andy Cooper and Noreen Cooper proudly watched 15-year-old Owen make history as the youngest male Emmy winner. Owen brought both parents to the awards night in Los Angeles and gave them a special shout-out in his acceptance speech.
With Owen now starring in big projects like the upcoming Wuthering Heights film, Andy continues to be the steady, hardworking dad who helped his son chase an unlikely dream while keeping the family grounded in Warrington.
