By age 13, he had already begun volunteering in youth programs aimed at helping families heal through support and structure. He comes from a large family and has several siblings, including his youngest sister, Asianiece Tucker.
Those early years of hardship became the foundation for his lifelong dedication to community upliftment and psychological healing. He attended Alfred E. Carl’s academic path took a nonlinear, determined shape. He studied at Savannah State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Behavior Analysis (completed in 2013). Later, he moved on to Bowie State University, where he completed a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in December 2019.
At Bowie, he held leadership roles; president of the Student Adlerian Society and of the Graduate Student Association; signaling the blend of scholarship and community work that would define his career. He was also active in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Career and Advocacy
Carl C. Scott began his career working with youth through YMCA and Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., providing behavioral guidance and mentoring. Now, his work grew to include positions as an Intervention Specialist at 21st Century CLC (2014 – 2023) and as a Behavior Counselor and Private Contractor for multiple therapeutic organizations.
Since August 2017, he has served as Program Director of BEST Kids, Inc., a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit that mentors children in foster care. He also founded BOSS; Brothers Overcoming Struggles for Success, a program designed to foster emotional resilience and psychoeducation for young Black men.

He’s a Certified Trauma Professional, published author of A Changing Man, and delivered his TEDx talk, “Losing Your Assumptions,” in 2015, following earlier speaking appearances at the Georgia Southern Men of Color Empowerment Summit (2014) and the Black Male Summit (2016).

Now, when she returned to social media after a long hiatus in November 2024, she revealed the extent of her emotional journey, saying in part:
“I’ve grappled thru the death and burial of my 29-year-old sister. I’ve held myself gracefully thru my divorce. Dealt with external and internal injuries. And 3 of those happened inside of 10 days.”
The post marked the end of their chapter as a couple; but also the beginning of two separate healing paths, two growing and healing adults. <<3

“Thank you to everyone who attended our baby shower! We truly enjoyed being surrounded by love, and we appreciate your presence and presents.
Our son has a village that is ready to welcome him. Can’t wait to meet him. October 2025!”

Somara Theodore’s New Partner & Pregnancy Journey
Somara, meanwhile, found her way back to joy. On January 8, 2025, she soft-launched her new relationship on TikTok. By June 17, 2025, she announced that she and her partner, known on Instagram as @dadunderconstruction, were expecting their first child together.
In August 2025, however, Somara revealed that she was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix, a pregnancy complication that required surgery on August 30, 2025. Afterward, she shared that both she and the baby were safe, though she was placed on partial bed rest. She is due in November or December 2025.
Her partner had also been a steady presence during her sister’s hospitalization, a detail that resonated deeply with followers who had followed her grief journey. She has been very open with documenting her journey to becoming a new mom.
